By 2001 I had been teaching stained glass and copper foiling for several years, and people in my class just loved angels. So I kept on drawing and adding a new angel to the collection each month.
The idea is that most of the shapes are simple enough so you can cut the pieces out of glass. Quilters and patchwork makers, who also found my patterns useful, obviously don’t have to worry about breaking glass. My decision to leave out the eyes and mouth was a practical one: just try getting them right so that your angel doesn’t squint or smile like a moron! Better leave some things to your imagination...
